okay. im fine today. woke up about half an hour ago. i have no contacts online and whatever shit. im starting to get worried cuz i somehow have this weird feeling that we're supposed to go to school today eventhough we obviously dont cuz its marking day. i do have to go to school but only iin the afternoon for Band practise. 2.30 to 6.30. Natasha Lim was like "WHAT?!?! But i want to call and talk to you!!" when i told her last night cuz she was wondering if i could go out with her today. my reaction, good riddance.
so since i have nothing to say about today accept that i was already fucking pissed at 0600 because my asshole of a P6 sister switched on the bedroom lights after using the bathroom, took so long to pack her bag, and when she finally did, she switched off the fan in the room. i mean, come on! i was under a QUILT. my blanket is actually a quilt cum blanket cum cushion. and i thought that probably due to living with me all her life, she would understand that i cannot live without the fan no matter what regardless if it is cold. also, another underatanding is that even it is so darn stuffy hot and hard to breathe in the room, i still sleep under my quilt. so there.
well anyways, i would like to give an account of what happened yesterday.
because of the events of saturday night, my brothers early 7th birthday party, my mom decided our family should go for 10.45 mass after catechism instead of 8.30 mass. also because my mom wanted to see Aunty Karen because of what happened to her arm. it was more serious than i thought. the bone had broken i think because all the adults were saying that her bone was sticking out about to protrude from her skin. so she was rushed to the hospital and waited there in pain with her husband until 2200, the time the operation began. so sweet!!
during catechism, we were given Famous Amos cookies to eat because of the debate we had last week on "I do not need the Bible to be a good catholic". Girls were the proposition. so of course we got to set the boundaries of the argument so obviously we set it to our advantage. we took "I" to be refered as one person and not the body of the Church. we took "the Bible" to be the physical form of the book although technically it is in correct because when you say "the Bible" you refer to the readings as well. only when you say "a Bible" then do you actually mean the material as in paper, ink, cardboard, rubber, string, etc. the definition of a good catholic is obvious. a good catholic is one where he/she is able to put what is taught in Church to everyday life and spread the word and what-not.
HA! the girls WON! but the way Kathrine said it, it was only because our speakers, Nicole Neubronner, Hilda Foo, and Marissa Yee, put forth the argument in a perussive, eloquent, manner. in your face guys. me being me did not want to be a speaker because in al honesty, everyone knows i cant do debating. although in church it was much easier to come out with counter arguments and points.
i forgot to mention earlier tha Marissa brought her non-Catholic friend Irene for catechism and mass. Nanyang is full of non-Catholics. saturday night, sars' father kept going on and on that he could always bring along a Catholic non-friend. what shit lah. it's called EVANGELIZATION for a reason. and yes. i wore my Balai shirt. Mission Sunday. i live under a rock. im turning into Wilmer. darnit.
saturady night, sars and i were also going on and on about her dad actually lending her his car to go fetch her friend from the MRT station. i was like "1..2..3.. BANG!" then we started laughing hysterically we were in the living room at that time and Agnes, Francis, sars' dad and mom, sars and i were in the living room at that time. continuing,
sars: heh. i damaged the front of the car.. hmm...
me: whoops!! there goes the boot...
sars: hehee.. we just crashed into a lamp post and the front window kena SHATTERED!! FREE AIR-CON!!
me: oo!! look! the police are coming after us. lets stop over..
police guy: a fine for damaging of property. wait. where your license plate?!
sars: huh? what damaged property?
me: what? the car plate's just in front over.. whoops. must've dropped off. try your luck driving about 50 metres back? you might find the license plate in the middle of the road..
sars and i couldnt take it anymore and started laughing like no tomorrow. Yiyi was looking at us with the completely blank look like she couldnt believe she knows us and raised us up and stuffs like that. unbelievable. see what crap we cousins can some up with?
anyways, fast-forward to after coming home from making short-crust pastry at Yiyi's house, after eating luch there, after mass, i came home and found out my tuitor cancelled tuition cuz it was raining cats and dogs. i also missed quite a number of calls on my phone. mostly from my tuitor. but there was one from this number.
6-451-2934
the number looks familiar somehow but i just cant place it. or maybe i really dont know the number. anyways, i called the person back...
me: hello? may i know of anyone who called a Cecilia?
lady: sorry. wrong number. [must have thought i was asking if i could talk to Cecilia]
me: um.. sorry. i meant if there was someone in your household [i repeated slowly] who.. called.. a.. Cecilia..
lady: [pissed voice] im sorry. no. no one called you.
me: are you sure? because this number appeared on my phone and im just returning the call.
lady: [a bit more pissed] No. no one called you.
note: she hasnt asked anyone yet and i could hear people in the background sounding like shouts and squeals from children. so i asked again.
me: can you please make sure? to whoever that called, it must have been important because i received the call on my handphone.
lady: [damn pissed] hey. no one called you alright?--
me: [trying to contain anger] i just want to make sure--
lady: [head must have exploded] tell you what. next time someone calls you, take down the person's name, okay?
pauseme: [trying extremely hard to contain anger] how am i to know who called me? may i remind you, the purpose of this call is to return the call of whoever called me while i was unable to tend to it and because of such it was a missed call and this number was recorded.
lady: listen! just tell me who you want to speck to!
me: [lost control of temper] how would i know! im returning the damned call!
lady: TELL ME WHO--
me: you know what? just forget it. and shut up.
yes. i know. im rude. deal with it. but i couldnt help it. i know probably i should have just accepted that someone accidentally dialled the wrong number and i should have out down the phone BUT me being me i wanted to make sure and find out. from this episode, one can deduce that i have no experience what-so-ever in returning calls. especially if i dont know who the number belongs to.
i just realised, im making my day a fucking pissed one.
i need to go for anger management courses.
Shut The Hell Up.
